Important Parade Information

 

Dear Parade Participant:

Thank you for your participation in the 2012 Golden Jubilee Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 17, 2012.  We are looking forward to an exciting celebration and are very pleased you will be able to join us.

Please take note of the following changes and restrictions regarding your entry into the Parade this year.

Due to construction of light rail affecting the north/west areas of the Coors Field parking lots, these lots have been decreased in size.  This will consequently affect the amount of space that can be utilized to put on the Parade. 

Staging Area-Coors Field Parking Lots B & C:  Only vehicles that are actually participating in the Parade will be allowed to enter at the 33rd & Blake Street entrance to Lots B & C.  All materials that will be used on your entry will have to be on or in the vehicle that is in the Parade when it enters at 33rd & Blake.  NO vehicles will be allowed to enter Lots B & C with supplies, materials or personnel for drop off purposes for any reason.  You will be allowed to walk in at 27th & Blake carrying anything that needs to be put on your entry that you forgot to load previously.  Please plan accordingly as walking into your staging assignment will take longer than in previous years.

Parking Area-Coors Field Parking Lot A: There will be NO public parking in Lot A.  This area will be utilized for disbanding of the Parade.  Please utilize public transportation, carpooling and parking east of Blake St. for any vehicles that are not actually in the Parade.  Please plan for your parking beforehand so you will be able to get to your staging assignment at your assigned times.

Disbanding after the Parade: All Parade vehicles will leave Coors Field Parking Lot A by proceeding up the Wazee St. ramp and turning west (right) onto Park Ave. West.  You will NOT be able to go to 22nd Ave. to turn east (left), so plan your route out of the Parade area accordingly.

Please pass this information to ALL of your participants that will participate this year so that this year’s Parade can run as smoothly as possible with these new challenges presented by the construction in our staging and disband areas.
