Up on the legion rooftop Click, click, click. Thru the door came Old St. Nick.

The Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee’s Christmas Party was a great afternoon for all.  Attendees were treated to a delicious brunch at the American Legion, Post #17, in Edgewater.  It was a time to visit with friends both old and new, and to celebrate the 2015 parade season!

Children of all ages lined up to visit with the big man himself and share their wants for his trip on December 24th!

Our 2015 Queen Colleen, Maureen McGinty, visited with as many committee members as she could meet and helped Santa distribute gifts to all the good boys and girls.

No one went home empty handed.  There were great raffle prizes won throughout the event, and each place setting included a gift so everyone had a keepsake of the afternoon.  The center pieces, glass Christmas trees with swirling glitter and color, sat on a pedestal labeled with our 2015 theme, the “Emerald Mile.”  One lucky winner from each table was lucky enough to a centerpiece home if they found a playing card taped under their chair!

The party was the perfect beginning for the holiday season.  A special thank you to Helga Mahaffey and her party subcommittee, the American Legion, and Santa Clause for making the day a truly memorable occasion!
